Among the latest additions to Briggs & Stratton’s lineup, the PP26 home standby generator is part of the acclaimed PowerProtect series — engineered for whole-house protection in demanding climates. Thanks to its advanced low-THD alternator (<5% THD), it delivers clean, stable electricity for sensitive electronics while optimizing fuel consumption on either natural gas or liquid propane.
With 26 kW running power on propane (24 kW on natural gas), the PP26 can easily start a 5-ton central AC, run high-efficiency heat pumps, and keep every major home appliance online during an outage. Dual-fuel flexibility lets you choose the most convenient energy source, and an automatic weekly self-test ensures the unit is always ready.

With a robust motor-starting capability of 65.5 kVA, the PP26 handles central air conditioners, well pumps, freezers, EV-charger loads, and large power tools without voltage sag. The onboard GC-1032 controller automatically throttles engine speed during low-load conditions to reduce fuel use and wear.
